Repair Disk Permissions in Mac OS Sierra, High Sierra, Mojave, Catalina and above via Command Line

We all miss the ability to Repair Disk Permissions in the Disk Utility Application in Mac OS X.

Here is a command line command that will allow you to get that functionality back.

The command is below. You can cut and paste it into Terminal to complete the command:

diskutil resetUserPermissions / `id -u`
